Yes, I know that is a chilling comparison.
While Daryl Van Horne is a fictional creation of the 1980s, the parallels between the "Devil in Eastwick" and the real-world Jeffrey Epstein are hard to ignore when you look at their methods of operation.
Both figures function as predatory conduits of power, using similar blueprints to manipulate their environments:
* The "Honey Trap" of Wealth and Mystery
* The Exploitation of Desires
* The Dark Reality vs. the Charming Persona
The main difference is that Daryl Van Horne is a supernatural satire about the battle of the sexes, whereas Epstein was a stark, tragic reality of systemic failure. Unfortunately, as it plays out, it still seems to be a battle of the sexes.
When finally (!) the victims will be heard and taken seriously?
Publicly approving their testimonies would end the decade long "...but IT doesn´t proof his involvement .." - because SHE knows and tells what SHE was experiencing.
Until then we watch "Life imitating Art" in the worst possible way.
