Born into a highly literate and communicative family my interest in people and their stories was supported from an early age.
My childhood, my adolescence including my years as a student were shaped by the Berlin Wall which surrounded my hometown. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why personal freedom and self-determination are so important to me and in my work.
My creativity and artistic interests let me initially to studies of art history and a second education as a graphic designer. Only then while studying communication science and applied psychology I discovered my vocation as a consultant.
After moving from West Berlin to the free part of Germany during the eighties I began to organise and facilitate seminars. My extensive education took me to the United States and all over Europe for facilitator trainings and continued studies in psychology, philosophy and various forms of therapy.
The increasing popularity of my seminars led to a rising demand as a speaker and personal coach.
Over the years to follow coaching became the key aspect of my work.
During my now more than 30 years as a coach I developed my own unique style which I call “intuitive coaching”.
Asked what qualifies me most for this profession, for which there is no clearly recognised academic path yet, I have to state it is mainly my own diverse life which has led to the human depth and quality of my work. The studies and seminars have provided me with the explanations, the necessary background and links. The knowledge I gained through the therapeutic studies created the instruments which I apply to my work.
This way I was able to develop my very own personal set of methods and approaches.
In 2008 I published my first book as an expression of what I have experienced in my work and my personal life.
My clients particularly value the respect which I show them, my female intuition, the ease and humour I bring into our work, my human generosity and unrestricted loyalty toward them.
As a coach and author I focus on accompanying my clients and readers through these times of fast change with constructive insights, an understanding of serenity and simplifying in order to develop and strengthen the positive force of constant new beginning. To think the unthinkable that is the challenge and task for us all in these times.
The ongoing travels and change between my European origin and my new home in South Africa force me continually to re-evaluate and renew my own perspective and standpoints. At the same time this provides me with the inspiration which I need as a coach and author.
